From: Salmon Egg on 21 Dec 2009 06:59 I am using Apple Mail on my new computer after transferring information from an old volume. I have several accounts. All seem to work well except for one. For this one, I get the spinning spokes when I am downloading new messages. When that is happening,I cannot quit gracefully. I have to force quit. I am able to send from this account without a problem even while the spinning is going on. I do not receive anything when I send a message to this account. As I look over the account information, I see nothing unusual. The only thing that I can think of is that the password got mangled. I am going through all this in detail tomorrow, including making sure that the password is correct. Meanwhile, I would like to know if this has been seen by others. I would delete the account and its password from the Keychain, and key the server information in manually.

Use the Keychain Access program, found in the Utilities subfolder of the Applications folder. -- Jim Gibson
