When building a book, I have the following hierachies:
-Chapter Title
-Map Title
-Block Tile

I have built the different styles for Map Title (e.g. Map Title for a title
used on the same page of each chapter and Map Title New for a subsequent
title within the chapter starting on a new page). For each Map Title lasts
more than one page, I created a Map Title Continued style, so it won't call
in the TOC. However, I have to manually select the Map Title Continued and
Type the Map Title text (or Map Title New text).

Is it possible to have that Map Title Continued to carry the text in this
section?

I created a building block to carry the appropriate style. Can I insert the
Map Title/Map Title New as a field in my Boilerplate/Buildingblock?

Thanks.

It is not clear from your description what you are trying to do, but if you
want to repeat title information on each relevant page investigate the use
of the Styleref field in the header/footer of the document.

Thanks for your prompt response, Mr. Mayor.

I meant that I build a book in a large technical document/course material as
follows:

Chapter One (using Chapter Title)
Introduction (using Map Title)
Overview (using Block Title)
Objectives (using Block Title)
Materials Needed (using Block Title)

Sometimes, the Introduction is more than one page, so the following page
would be like this:

Introduction, continued (using Map Title Continued-- a different style but
same looking-and-feel is used to keep it from being generated in TOC)
Overview (using Block Title)
Performance Standard (using Block Title)
Classroom Setup (using Block Title)

What I would like to do is to automatically insert the word "Introduction"
before ", continued" instead of typing it each time.

In reality, each chapter contains several topics (Map Title) and each topic
lasts for several pages, so the developers have to type the map tile again
and again. The big issue is that once the wording of the topic is changed,
they have to remember to change the wording of the map title contined on each
page. If the Map Title is changed, that the subsequent Map Title Continued
are also autochanged would be ideal.

Well, I hope that the description above is clear enough this time. I am not
talking about the Header/Footer.

Thanks again.

Thanks again, Mr. Mayor.

I inserted the STYLEREF in the MTC, it auto-generates the MT in the heading.

It also helps with my similar design for a continued table with Table
Heading and continued Steps on the nextpage to include the continued MT and
Block Lable.

However, the table sometimes push off to the next column. Who can help?

Thanks.
