From: Ken on 2 Oct 2009 20:09 The installer script seems to be trying to call a 64-bit version of xsetup (which doesn't exist on my dvd). Try installing with a 32-bit program environment: linux32 ./install_unix.sh This worked for me. -Ken. One of the first thing that I tried was the unmount the install disk and then to remount it. I am doing all of this as root. The install disk was giving me a read only error at one point, and I can confirm that the fstab file contains 'exec'. I have also tried to copy the files to my harddrive, in a new folder within the home folder, and tried to install from there (after changing permissions). Nothing seems to be working. If anyone has any additional suggestions, please help. > > best, > -Patrick > > p.s.: here are the contents of the fstab line for the cdrom0 > /dev/scd0 /media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 user,noauto,exec,utf8 0 0
