Sorry that I gave no asnwer to you ealier question converning Matlab,
I did not read this group for several months ....

Sage runs natively on Linux system. I do not know which is your
platform, but Sage runs also in web browser (like www.sagenb.org ) and
SageTeX can be used also without installing anything - for example on
www.sagenb.org . Or at least, this is written in the documentation. So
you need not to install Sage on your computer - but expect slower
calculations. I think that the developer of SageTeX is active at the
sage support group at http://groups.google.cz/group/sage-support .

Yes, it seems that I can use it across the virtual box through the web
interface(I haven't tried it but thats the only way I see it working). In
any case I'm going to work on the matlab stuff since there isn't anything
out there for it and simply because such things exist for other programs
doesn't preclude it from existing for matlab.

I personally don't like matlab but it is the best thing I have for quick and
powerful analysis of algorithms. Sage seems a step in the right direction
but seems to be lacking in power in some areas compared to what matlab can
do.

But who knows, I might be a convert once I actually get around to using it.
