I know it is an old post but others who are struggling with this may find this useful. I am having the same issue. It just occured to me that the problem may lie in the fact that I am accessing the 2008 r2 machine via remote desktop. I have tried using the /admin switch with my mstsc client but no luck.

I may have got the group name wrong (I only have Win2008 R2 here). Is there
a similar group name on your computer?

Thanks,

Rob

Playing around with TS Web Access and I'm unable to popluate the TSWA
Computers Group. I am only using a local policy and not AD at the moment.
Can I not add the local computer to this group?

Matthew

You should be able to add any computer to the group. Are you changing the
Object Type to Computers? The default is "Users or Groups".

Only "Users" and "Built-in security principals."

If you run Local Users and Groups, double-click on TSWA Computers group,
click Add, click Object Types, you don't see Computers as one of the
options?

Can you try from an (elevated) cmd window:
net localgroup "TSWA Computers" /ADD ComputerName$

Rob...that is correct...I do not see Computers as an option. When I try the
command line, I get this:

"System Error 1376 has occurred. The specified local group does not exist."
