From: RosaY on 8 Feb 2010 22:35 I have a message board on my site. Front Page Extensions are installed. I have the message directed to my email address, but when a message is put in, what comes up is "Page not found." On the dialog box that comes up in Front Page when I click on the form and click Properties, I have checked Send to and under it have filled in my email address, but there is also a space to put in a file name. I have left that space blank, not knowing what to put in. Is that the problem, and if so, what file name goes into that space?
From: Ronx on 9 Feb 2010 03:04 In that space goes any file you also want to save the form data in (the file would normally be in the _private folder). A link to the page might help solve the problem -- along with your image problem. -- Ron Symonds Microsoft MVP (Expression Web) http://www.rxs-enterprises.org/fp RosaY formulated the question : > I have a message board on my site. From: RosaY on 9 Feb 2010 15:17 I tried that. Now when I try a test message I get this notice: FrontPage Run-Time Component Page You have submitted a form or followed a link to a page that requires a web server and the FrontPage Server Extensions to function properly. This form or other FrontPage component will work correctly if you publish this web to a web server that has the FrontPage Server Extensions installed. Click the <Back> arrow to return to the previous page. This sounds as though the FrontPage Server Extensions are not installed, but according to the control panel of my web host, they are installed. Also, my hit counter doesn't work, and I suspect that again it's a problem with the FrontPage extensions. But I've tried reinstalling them, and nothing helps. From: Ronx on 9 Feb 2010 16:00 That message comes from _derived/nortbots.htm http://www.rxs-enterprises.org/fp/articles/2008/10/22/01/nortbots.htm_error.aspx explains the error and how it happens. The form page must be HTTP published to the website, not FTPed. -- Ron Symonds Microsoft MVP (Expression Web) http://www.rxs-enterprises.org/fp/wf-menu.aspx RosaY formulated the question : > I tried that.
