Okay, glad to hear your problem is solved. Is this your first computer? I'd had several over the years and have accumulated a 1/2 dozen or so over the years. For stuff like a power cord, video cable, HDD screws, etc., I have a supply of it on hand. The trick is organizing and labeling the stuff (so you know what you have 6 mos or a year from now), plus storing *everything* in a box and knowing where the damned box is. :)

Why didn't you tell me this about 5 to 10 years ago <grin> ? I've accumulated some stuff over those years and now don't know exactly what it is so I consider it as junk. ps- Ron, I may have been a little harsh on you but I am glad you found a sympathetic Dell employee to help you. Just be sure to read more carefully what you are buying or maybe I should say "not" buying.

Vostro 1500 is 2-wire, Vostro 1520 is 3-wire, for example. -- rhhardin(a)mindspring.com On the internet, nobody knows you're a jerk.
