and one thing I forgot to mention. Those two electrolytic capacitors are
polarized. They will have a ( NEG - ) stripe down one side. that side has to
be connected to the ( ground - ) side of the schematic.

Even if the battery + goes through some other parts the + side of the cap
goes towards the B+ and the negative side towards ground.

In your case the + side of the 100uf cap connects to 100ohm resistor and
then B+(9V).
The 10uf cap has it's - side connected directly to ground.

Both have their negative sides noted as shaded grey in the drawing.

The IC will have a notch centered in one end. Pin 1 is just to left of
notch. Pin 8 is to right of notch. There is nothing else you can plug in
backwards on that circuit ( except the battery ).

This is the only one I can't find.
There's a .047mf and a .0047mf but I can't find a .000047mf.

Can you advise me on this?

----------
I've got everything else needed in the cart including a range for the CX
220pf, 330pf, 470pf, 560pf, 680pf

Thanks,

Steve

Look in Capacitors, Silver Mica

Tom,

You sound like an guy that has fiddled with this stuff before. Just
looking at the schematic, there isn't anything in there that clips..
other than the gain of the opamps causing them to run out of rail. Most
pedal type distortion boxes use diodes to make distortion, this just
makes the opamp clip.. interesting.
