From: Kurt Ullman on
Last couple of days, I am busy working on my computer when the screen
goes to this really neat light blue for a second or two and then comes
right back up. I always pick up right where I left off. It doesn't seem
to happen when I am doing anything consistent. One time I was just
typing away on Word, another time was downloading to the thumb drive
(the transfer was made with no corruption or impact seen on the d/l
file). It also happens sporadically. Happened once and then nothing for
a week or better and then again, a couple of days, then twice in about 5
minutes.
The console reports are consistent, so I am just pasting in the
latest. I am wondering if this is just transient weirdness or Impending
Doom.

That kind of sounds like a loose display connector, which would be
easily fixed if this weren't a laptop. We're not talking about an
external display, are we?

It could be some kind of software issue, but we'd need to see the system
and console log messages time stamped *at the time of the issue* to get
a clue in terms of that.

Yep. A nice LCD 19 incher. Shoulda thought about that, but since I
have always used it, I sometimes forget it isn't part of the actual
computer.
I am using the MBP more like a desktop. I'll tighten down the
connector and see if that takes care of it. Since I keep the laptop top
more or less closed, I don't know if the main display is doing the same
thing. I'll open it up for awhile to see if both go all fershugina at
the same time.
Thanks.

If (1) it happens again and (2) BOTH the external and internal screens
act alike, I'll get into the system and console logs and post them.
