From: Brian Hoyt on 6 Aug 2007 12:37 I have moved about 1000 mailboxes from my older 2003 server to replacement 2007 server. I have about 5 that are getting this error: Error was found for Last, First (LastF(a)place.org) because: Error occurred in the step: Moving messages. Failed to copy messages to the destination mailbox store with error: MAPI or an unspecified service provider. ID no: 00000000-0000-00000000, error code: -1056749164 All of them have the same ID no and error code. Any suggestions.
From: Brian Hoyt on 6 Aug 2007 13:14 One followup is that I am getting a few events logged to app log. At the beginning of the process MSExchangeIS logs a 9660 errors saying login failed due to mailbox being moved. Next is MSExchangeIS Mailbox 1022 with loginfailure by MSExchangeMailboxAssistants.exe. Then is MSExchangeIS Mailbox 8506 recommending to run ISINTEG (which I have done). Last is Exchange Migration 1008 stating unable to move mailbox. As I said below I moved about 1000 mailboxes successfully, just about 5 left that won't move. From: Brian Hoyt on 6 Aug 2007 15:56 Well I hate to keep replying to myself but I seem to have resolved the issue. I ended up calling Microsoft and opening a case. It seems the problems all stem from corrupted messages. The fix that worked was moving the mailboxes from one 2003 DB to another 2003 DB. Once that completed I was able to move them to 2007. The ignore corrupt messages setting may not be working properly from 2003->2007 so I had to get rid of them internal to 2003 first. This corruption was not repaired by ISINTEG.
