Thanks Gordon, I regularly compact and have kept the file folders small too and surprised when I suffered corruption problem. So, enough of OE problems and onto OL. BTW, Does OL need regular compacting? I'm sure I saw an option for it on the wife's lap top. but when I clicked on it nothing happened. Chris
