You're not forced to use 4 LUNs but it's OK since you are using automatic storage. btw, since you are using automatic storage, I'm curious about your database size. I don't have experience and test data for automatic storage on very large scale database, say, more than 1T. btw, how much I/O capacity 4 HBAs can deliver is closely related to your storage product, in case your configuration on HBA load balance and high availability, consult your system administrator for that.
