From: Scotirish on 7 Aug 2010 11:15 Have Windows XP Home, SP3. A few days ago a drop-down listing popped up on the far left side of the screen, top to bottom, whenever my mouse moved in that direction on the desktop. If I moved the mouse back toward the right, the long listing disappeared. The drop-down listing appears to be a listing of everything I have in "Incoming" -- things I download there before installing them on the computer. I don't recall clicking on anything that caused this, but it's aggravating. Has anyone here had a similar experience and knows how to eliminate this pop up? Your help will be appreciated. Thanks!
From: thecreator on 7 Aug 2010 11:25 Hi Scotrish, Your listing is simply a Toolbar that was created by accident by you. You must have held the left mouse button down by accident and dragged the "Incoming" folder against the left side of the Screen. To remove the Toolbar, right-click on the Name "Incoming" and click Close Toolbar. -- thecreator "Scotirish" <Scotirish(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:257871A3-A6A3-4B5F-AFF9-84EDA774A4C4(a)microsoft.com... > Have Windows XP Home, SP3. From: Scotirish on 7 Aug 2010 13:52 Thanks for your response!. After posting my questions, I went back and messed around a bit and found the option and checked it. So, much to my delight, I got the darn thing off. Thanks again for your interest and response.
