NASA’s TEM shows myofilaments in Martian meteorite ALH84001

Figure 1 is originally from an article (note 1) concerning Martian
meteorite ALH84001, authored by NASA scientists at Johnson Space
Center. The figure seems to show fossilized traces of myofilaments
( organelleS in a muscle cell).

CORRECTION ON MAY 31,2010:

SORRY, I MISIDENTIFIED. THE "MYOFILAMENTS" SEEMED TO BE MORE LIKE

FOSSILIZED TRACE REMAINS OF THREE COLLAGEN FIBERS RATHER THAN
MYOFILAMENTS.
