From: Alexander on 12 May 2007 09:21 Hi all, I'm running a Windows Server 2003 R2 x64 and want to run Microsoft Services for NFS on it. However I get errors in the system log telling me.... \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\msnfsflt.sys has been blocked from loading due to incompatibility with this system. Please contact your software vendor for a compatible version of the driver. I have checked with another server running the same OS and I have installed the Microsoft Services for NFS on that server aswell and it works fine. Does anybody have an answer on this matter ... -- Greetings Alexander de Rooij
From: Charlie Russel - MVP on 12 May 2007 12:44 What language version of Server are we talking about, and I'm assuming both servers are running x64 R2, correct? And that the installation was done from Add/Remove Programs -> Add/Remove Windows Components. -- Charlie. http://msmvps.com/xperts64 http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/charlie.russel "Alexander" <aldero(a)versatel.nl> wrote in message news:09428972-40D8-4D19-ABEA-F14056F86216(a)microsoft.com... > Hi all, > > I'm running a Windows Server 2003 R2 x64 and want to run Microsoft > Services > for NFS on it. From: Alexander on 12 May 2007 13:09 Hi Charlie, Yes, both x64 SP2 English and NFS was added from Add/Remove Programs -> Add/Remove Windows Components. Inserted CD 2 and tried to start the services. -- Greetings Alexander "Charlie Russel - MVP" wrote: > What language version of Server are we talking about, and I'm assuming both > servers are running x64 R2, correct? From: Charlie Russel - MVP on 13 May 2007 02:25 Then something is interfering in the one that doesn't work, and I'm not at all sure what it could be. There's nothing special here, it's pretty straight forward. Now getting connections that are properly authenticated can be tricky, especially if you're still using User Name Mapping, but the service not starting is a new one. I'd start by looking at what is different between the server that works and the one that doesn't. What roles are on each, what services are running, what software in installed, etc. Try to identify what the cause could be. -- Charlie. http://msmvps.com/xperts64 http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/profile/charlie.russel "Alexander" <aldero(a)versatel.nl> wrote in message news:DB9A92A9-8846-4FA3-AF1B-7161B337B09D(a)microsoft.com... > Hi Charlie, > > Yes, both x64 SP2 English and NFS was added from Add/Remove Programs -> > Add/Remove Windows Components.
