From: yaro137 on 2 Sep 2009 10:28 For some reason backing up my D: drive started taking over 8 hours. Can't see any problems in the backup log. It's around 110GB of data backing up to a LTO 2 backup tape. Is there any way of checking why it takes so long? yaro

Is D: in perfect shape, is it starting to fail? I've had hard drives that couldn't keep up with a 1x CD-burn, 150KB/sec I'd suspect the drive or filesystem has problems... A chkdsk might help, and then again, if the drive is having problems, may make things worse. HTH. -- This posting is provided for you, from a fellow community member. Use at your own risk.
