Total outlay $120, and I've refilled the first probably 10 times already. Lucky I don't need photos or color for a nifty little Canon camera I haven't used yet. Mostly just books to read these days. My impression is they, the color dye printer industry, really like to sock it to what people will pay to play with consumables. Don't quote me for saying that in the above printers group -- might start a flame.

Once you bough a printer which is not expensive, you must buy and use ink cartridges or your printer will dry. Where do you find those books you're talking about?
