From: Bob I on 8 Jul 2010 08:14 Perhaps the Print Spooler is not running? Click Start, Run, type in NET START SPOOLER and hit enter. From: JohnB on 8 Jul 2010 08:35 So if you do Start > Run > \\ServerName for the server that has the shared printer, other shared printers show up, but not this particular one? And it *does* show up when you do the same thing from another PC? And you've checked to make sure the spooler service is running on your PC? If it wasn't, no printers would show up. This doesn't solve the mystery but.... you could add that printer, configuring it to do direct IP printing, versus going through the server. If you can ping it, you should be able to do direct IP printing. From: KenP on 11 Jul 2010 08:09 Thanks Daave, that did it. Usually that's the first thing I try but for some reason the bell did not ring on this day. Maybe this will help someone else. From: Daave on 12 Jul 2010 21:25 YW, Ken. Although other methods might have worked, it's not a bad idea to first try SR. Glad it worked. KenP wrote: > Thanks Daave, that did it.
