From: Roger Bell on 13 Mar 2010 01:06 I have installed an Access Data Base on a server and linked the Tables to several Remote computers. Some of these remotes are in another building, some 100 metres away and networked via underground cabling. These remotes take quite awhile for the data to load on their machines. Is it because of the distance, and/or is there any way I can speed the retrieval up? Many thanks for any help

Electricity moves at 186,000 miles per second. I doubt if distance is the problem. Performance issues are addressed here: http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/performancefaq.htm -- Arvin Meyer, MCP, MVP http://www.datastrat.com http://www.accessmvp.com http://www.mvps.org/access "Roger Bell" <RogerBell(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:79FCF8F3-AB19-4D78-AC45-1189FE11D9BD(a)microsoft.com... >I have installed an Access Data Base on a server and linked the Tables to > several Remote computers.
