If the phone is not receiving signal then it requires registration
first. No text will arrive until registration is carried out.

If the phone is displaying signal immediately then it has been "pre-
activated" and is anonymous until registered, but free credit offers
usualyl are conditional on full registrtation of personal details.

sims have ruined their database of Orange network users and made
Sim registration pointless?
