Press release almost ALWAYS end with subjective descriptions of the
companies involved.

For instance, find a press release announcing a merger or acquisition,
and I'll bet that the descriptions call both of the companies "leading"
in their respective fields. This is even likely if the company is being
acquired through bankruptcy.

My XServe was assembled in Pennsylvania last year. So there is still
*some* "manufacturing" done in the USA. (and some Xserves are assembled
in Ireland, presumably for the european market).

I would very much like to see Apple repatriate more manufacturing to the
USA if it could.

Shirley there would be a way to make USA manufacturing competitive ?
(and yes, I will call you Shirley even if your name is Michelle :-)

Similarly, it always amazes me how many books/authors
are “best” sellers.

Not to mention "instant classic" movies.

Certainly. Remove the regulation and start paying people in terms of
dirt like they do in China and such places.
