Does anyone have any information, about the 32 new connections to the
database ?

I'm just starting to "play" with DB2 V9.7 FP1 on UNIX, and if I
activate the database, but don't connect and do a db2 list db
directory, I get no connections.

But when I do a db2 list application show detail, I see 40+
connections, there's 32 connections for db2fw, that I can't seem to
find any information about.

db2fw1
db2fw14
db2fw27
db2fw7
db2fw20
db2fw0
db2fw13
db2fw26
db2fw6
db2fw19
db2fw12
db2fw25
db2fw5
db2fw18
db2fw31
db2fw11
db2fw24
db2fw4
db2fw17
db2fw30
db2fw10
db2fw23
db2fw3
db2fw16
db2fw29
db2fw9
db2fw22
db2fw2
db2fw15
db2fw28
db2fw8
db2fw21

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Chip

InfoCenter claims it is an "event monitor file writer". Hope that
helps.

Many people turn off the Health Monitor (DBM CFG) and automatic database
maintenance (DB CFG).

Mark,

I'm not sure how your post corresponds to mine - or Chip's. But you're
more knowledgeable that I am, so is there a correlation between the
event monitors and the health monitor?
