All it needs to use the Commodore logo is a sticker. 6 months has past since Commodore et al produced a darn product and under the U.S. trademark laws, it is up to contestable grabs. Companies can forfeit their trademark rights if they do not actively advertise and produce real products for more then 6 months. This is why real companies invests money produce products with the brand.
