I'm thinking of changing my G5 iMac PPc for the new 21.5 iMac in a month
or so.
Looking at the spec I see that it comes with a wireless keyboard and
mouse.
I like and use MacSoup for the newsgroups and with no number keypad it
must make life difficult.
Any comments from MacSoup users?

Well, you can get an extended keyboard as well. I wouldn't like a
wireless keyboard, mainly becasue I wouldn't have to replace batteries
or charge something when I see no reason or advantage on the keyboard
being wireless. I have never used the numeric keypad in macsoup though,
so I wouldn't miss that!

You can custom order one with either a USB version of the same keyboard,
or with the USB extended keyboard.

You can also use an older extended keyboard if you have one spare.

I've been using MacSoup on a laptop since about 2001, after having used
it on a full keyboard for several years prior to that.

I simply remembered which number keys corresponded to each direction
when navigating the thread tree, or mentally pictured the numeric
keypad.

I use it a lot of the time. For following long and extensive threads
it's very useful.

Actually, ignore my last post, the same company makes this, available
from the Apple Store (US at least, not checked UK).
