Fifty to 80 baht per shift, or about $1.54 to $2.47. They're demanding a 60%
increase.

But in addition to that princely sum they get a living allowance of 1,000
baht (about $30.87) per month. They want that increased to 1,300 baht (about
$40.14).

Ingrates.

Roman slaves lived better than the ones in the Provinces too. Funny,
I don't remember any drastic drops in prices of cameras when:
Nikon went to Taiwan.
Olympus went to China.
Pentax went to Vietnam.
