After connecting with the VPN the user is normally able to access the university web based database through the browser. Access to the university database (it is a web page really) is granted by validating the ip address. I am able to do this normally with all the computers except one. It had IE7. Thinking it is probably a network issue, i tried removing and reinstalling the network card driver, i brought the computer up to date in terms of service packs and patches, but the problem persists. Normally when i setup the VPN connection i use all the default settings (that i verified were ok anyway). I am not even able to ping anything by name when I connect to the vpn. On a comparison computer, i noticed two additional entries: destination mask gateway IF Metric 255.255.255.255 255.255.255.255 192.168.168.212 2 1 255.255.255.255 255.255.255.255 192.168.168.212 10005 1 The computer that has this is configured with dynamic IP, the problem one is static, but even after setting it to DHCP those two entries don't show. Any ideas what i could be missing?
