I create and post a word document on my computer, I save it as a .wps file,
then post it on my Yahoo Group, but no one can open on their computer. Why
not, and what do I have to do to make it work so that anyone can open it?

WPS is not a WORD document, but a WORKS document. Recent versions of Works
can save in DOC format - but whether they need to have had Word installed to
provide the filters is not clear. See what file type options you have in the
SaveAs dialog.
