From: goodolpete on 6 May 2010 04:11 Hi, I've bought another Nokia but need to get all my numbers, ringtones and photos off the old one. Bluetooth isnt enabled on the old one. Amazon.co.uk "data cables" have comments by buyers that they dont work and arent supported by Nokia. Has anyone any experience of this problem or suggestions please? Pete

It has a Nokia suite on a CD. loaded usb driver and the nokia suite from CD fired up nokia program. went into "manage settings" menu item. the only setting I could manage was for a *serial* connection. (manage means the spanner icon at the bottom isnt greyed out) went into my PC device manager under control panel / system. under ports, "prolient cable" was set to COM4 in manage settings, set serial cable to COM4 and exit manage settings. connected data cable between usb port on PC and into OLD mobile Clicked backup icon and backed up all to a file. disconnected mobile and closed down Nokia suite connected NEW mobile and started nokia suite. clicked backup icon and clicked "restore from backup" option all files and names transferred to new phone. Thanks again Steve, Pete
