From: Deej Hernandez on 14 Apr 2010 23:23 I have Office 2007 and I am working with the Word program. I have 12 Quick Styles sets that I work with. All documents open using the normal template. As soon as I apply a style set to a document the normal font changes. For two style sets normal font goes to Calibri, size 11; one set goes to Calibri, size 18; four sets go to Calibri, size 20;two sets go to Arial, size 12; and the last remaining set goes to Arial, size and 20. How can I make all normal font go to Calibri, size 24 ball style sets? I have modified Normal to those settings in every quick style set, then saved the set again, but as soon as a document is closed and a new document opened with a style set applied it reverts back to what it was before.
From: Stefan Blom on 15 Apr 2010 02:44 When you modify a style set the changes will NOT be applied to documents or templates that have the style set applied. You will have to manually reapply the style set to the documents and templates in question. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Deej Hernandez" <DeejHernandez(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:931C44C2-45A3-4ECE-BC68-2C9C639FDD5E(a)microsoft.com... >I have Office 2007 and I am working with the Word program. From: Deej Hernandez on 15 Apr 2010 09:34 Is there any way to modify those templates then? And why do I seem to have 5 different templates for documents all based on Normal? Have you tried reapplying the style set that you want? To do that for a template, you will have to open it as a document (via the Open dialog box). Think of what a style set is: the styles displayed in the Styles group of the Home tab. Applying a different style set obviously changes the styles of the document (or template). If you change style sets in several steps, you may have changed a lot in the document. For example, let's say that the currently selected style set includes styles A, B, and C and you then apply a style set including styles A and B, what you get in the document is styles A and B (with different formatting) in the Styles group of the Home tab. Style C won't be in the Styles group, but its formatting will be left intact, unless it is based on (say) style A (which was changed when you changed style sets). -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Deej Hernandez" <DeejHernandez(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:558FDAAD-8AC8-4316-BF34-52AFF163F0A0(a)microsoft.com... > > Is there any way to modify those templates then?
