From: RichUE on 19 Feb 2010 04:04 I'm not receiving any notifications for replies to my posts, nor for threads that I've marked. My profile email address is current. Currently, I'm logging on, visiting my profile and examining the list of notifications at the bottom of the screen. -- Richard Using Office 2003 & Win2kpro Search the web and raise money for charity at www.everyclick.com

You are asking about a problem with the webnews-for-dummies interface that gateways to Usenet so Microsoft can pretend it has a forum. Use a real newsreader to access Usenet. The webnews-for-dummies client has lots of problems and way too often goes screwy in its behavior.

From: RichUE on 19 Feb 2010 07:28 Yes, I realise that this newsgroup is about Outlook, but there's no other suitable category. I checked the Profile Help but it didn't yield any and there's no opportunity to post questions. I assumed that as there was a Profile setting for notifications, and I had received them in the past, there might be a problem you could help me with. I tried entering "Newsgroups" into the Outlook Help and began to follow the instructions for adding News to the Go menu, but it seems that my version/installation of Outlook doesn't have that feature. Can you suggest a newsreader that will work under Win2kpro & IE6? I'll pre-empt your question about using the latest OS by saying that I have to use what I'm given. -- Richard Using Office 2003 & Win2kpro Search the web and raise money for charity at www.everyclick.com "VanguardLH" wrote: > RichUE wrote: > > > I'm not receiving any notifications for replies to my posts, nor for threads > > that I've marked. Google "+free +(news OR nntp) +reader +download" -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook]
