From: Davoud on 16 Feb 2010 18:08 Interested parties who missed this may read about Nuance's (makers of Dragon NaturallySpeaking for Windows) acquisition of MacSpeech (makers of the Mac speech recognition software MacSpeech Dictate that uses the Dragon "engine" under license) at <http://www.nuance.com/news/pressreleases/2010/20100216_macspeech.asp>. It has been my experience that getting good results from speech recognition software requires considerable patience, but in my case that patience has been rewarded by near-perfect results from MacSpeech Dictate. This post is an example. MacSpeech Dictate transcribed it with no errors. I pasted the URL manually. Dragon NaturallySpeaking is a truly remarkable product that I used quite frequently before MacSpeech's continuing improvements in MacSpeech Dictate made the Mac a viable competitor in speech recognition in many situations.
