Hey David, what are you running now as far as anti-malware-virus-adware-firewall now. It's been a long time since I've seen you post anything on the subject, but I probably just missed it. "Residentially" speaking, I'm running Online Armor, Malwarebytes (full version), Avira. Is an anti- adware program really needed? Also, I have mbamservice.exe running, but not mbamgui. I'm pretty sure I'm protected, but I never know if Mbam is "working", since I never get notices. Is there a site to go to that will test my protection? I went to this one site, but it just seemed like it was specifically for Malwarebytes tests. I'd like to get a third party involved... something along the lines of grc.com. Thanks. Al

Al: I still run AntiVir. I have MBAM installed only because I use it to check files against and then submit those that are not detected by MBAM to MalwareBytes. There are REAL COMSEC and INFOSEC sites out there. Gibson is just someone who created SpinRite. A software that as sold to modify the the interleave of MFM/RLL drives when there was freeware that did it.
