From: evanarsdall on 17 Mar 2010 14:14 Actually there is an issue. I own a full copy of Project Standard 2003 so bought an upgrade to the 2007 version. I use Windows Vista SP2. I cannot install Project Standard 2007 because it cannot find proof that I have Office installed on my machine. Yet I have a full copy of Office 2007 Standard and use it every day. I have tried pointing the installation to my Office directory without success. I can't get help from MS Support without paying $99 for the incident. So now I'm stuck with a copy of Project Standard 2007 that I can't use. I have found one possible solution: to download a trial of Project Standard 2007 and use my license key. I'm trying that right now but the download is taking forever. And I wonder if I'll ever be able to use the CD that I purchased. From: Rob Schneider on 17 Mar 2010 14:34 Try something else. Since you have the original CD for Project 2003 (correct?), then uninstall it and reboot. Then install Project 2007 from the CD. I *think* based on previous experience with Microsoft software upgrades over the year, that the Project 2007 install programm will request that you give evidence of a qualifying product and it will allow you to put that product in the CD tray and the install program will look there. I even suspect you'll be able to tell the install program to specifically look at the tray. And since there should be a qualifying product there, it should work. --rms www.rmschneider.com On 17/03/10 18:14, evanarsdall wrote: > Actually there is an issue.
