From: windrider on 8 May 2010 12:11 I am using Office XP mail merge to send envelops. The merge shows about twenty spaces between the first and last name (about one inch or mare apart). I am using an Excel spread sheet for the source address names. How do I get the first and last name closer together?
From: Bob I on 10 May 2010 08:51 One way would be to concatenate the First and Last names in Excel. Or perhaps you have spaces after the First name in the Excel file (use Find\Replace to remove) windrider wrote: > I am using Office XP mail merge to send envelops. Hi windrider, Check what's between the mergefields - you might find a tab or multiple spaces where you want a single space. -- Cheers macropod [Microsoft MVP - Word] "windrider" <windrider(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:C0037EBA-18BF-4C09-9C9B-AD94EF06B9AD(a)microsoft.com... >I am using Office XP mail merge to send envelops.
