From: Kevin T on 17 Nov 2009 16:24 George If you don't absolutely have to I would skip this one. Nothing good can come from that :) unless you have stock in EAW drivers :) On Nov 17, 3:11 pm, "Phildo" <P...(a)phildo.net> wrote: > "George's Pro Sound Co." <bm...(a)yahoo.com> wrote in messagenews:cMSdnS80B6Xga5_WnZ2dnUVZ_jGdnZ2d(a)earthlink.com... > > > Each stage will play to I am guessing not more than 400 > > I plan on 4 bh800 and 4 msl3's per stage > > Double the amount of subs. > > Most rave, hip-hop and similar systems are run at least 2 subs per top box. > You might even want to look at splitting your subs into two frequency bands > so they don't have to work so hard (high sub & low sub). So, make sure you bring some extra eyeglass cleaner and some extra memory cards for the camera, and if'n you're feeling ambitious, Caaandom's.. And some Nitro pills.. This wouldn't be my first pick for a gig, but these shows can turn out to be, for lack of a better word.. funky.. as in things all funked up.. Anyone gives you a hard time, tell them you're on holiday from your usual Bootsy Collin's gig, he's like Canada used to be when you'd get into some trouble... Have fun! d.

I would put all the 800s at main stage, and the LA400s + those RCFs you own at the B stage. Then, I'd split the sub duty into separate bands between the LAs and RCFs. Obviously optimizing the duty of each pair relevant to their response and output abilities. I've worked plenty of funk/RnB/ hiphop shows and low end is what they want. Have you done much reggae? Many of those acts want more bass no matter what you have on hand. -- Steve <snip> McQ

I did that onee time with the rcf as true subs and the la's as the woofers topped with upa's It sounded great > I've worked plenty of funk/RnB/ hiphop shows and low end is what > they want.
