I have moved the log files for troublesome store to the same drive where the databases for this store reside (100gb+) and this has given me some breathing space. Taking this into consideration, is it best to proceed as suggested by Oliver? Thank you for help thus far.
From: Simon Walsh on 15 Mar 2007 14:15 No matter where your log files are you still need to get a working backup to purge the log files. If you have some breathing space then investigate further why you are not able to backup this store in the storage group. You could run eseutil /k against the suspect store just to check all the checksums. If that comes up bad then there is no way you will be able to back the store up. Then you need took at a move mailbox as soon as possible. /Simon "justsimplequestions" <sigmatechnology(a)googlemail.com> wrote in message news:1173977665.812038.151870(a)d57g2000hsg.googlegroups.com... > On Mar 15, 4:42 pm, "Oliver Moazzezi" <o.moazzez...(a)SPAMfreenet.co.uk> > wrote: >> > Unfortunately, i have inherited this system - all log files for all >> > storage groups reside on same disk, hence the disk space running out >> > quick - the disk size incredibly is 36.4gb. From: Oliver Moazzezi on 15 Mar 2007 14:18 Hi, Restart the information store server (or reboot) first to see if you can then backup the db in question. If not follow Simons advice and move the users into a new store Oliver
