From: tfy2k5 on 4 Feb 2009 03:48 Perflib.dll error is filling up my eventlog. I'm getting this error every 20-30 sec's. The error msg = The Open Procedure for service "PerfDisk" in DLL "C:\WINNT\system32\perfdisk.dll" failed. Performance data for this service will not be available. Status code returned is data DWORD 0. I already tried: -Stop the wmi service Goto %systemroot%\system32\wbem and rename the folder Repository to repository.old Restart the wmi service -Hotfix Windows2000-KB828603-x86-ENU.exe product version 5.00.2195.6818 (perflib.dll) -Hotfix Windows2000-KB839264-x86-ENU.EXE product version 5.0.2195.6920 (perflib.dll) The hotfixes didn't work. If i run a Diskperformance counter it runs perfectly. Disableling the counter isn't an option cuz we need this counter. I also tried to manually rebuild the counter but i can't find the drivername.ini for the perflib.dll. --> http://support.microsoft.com/kb/300956/en-us. Help me plz....!!!!!
