I have received several Word .doc documents from a coworker created in a
recent version of Mac Word and saved as a Word 2003 compatible file. When I
try to open them, I am taken to a file conversion screen and get garbage.
Another coworker with Word 2007 is able to receive and open the files. He can
save them and send them to me and they open with no problem. I have also
tried opening these files in Word 2003 and have the same problem.

Any ideas on what the problem could be?
