Have you tried turning off "Remove Unused Colors"? Again, with the actual file available it will be much easier for someone to figure things out. A video is helpful to see your process, but it is no replacement for experimenting with the real thing. -- Jim Babbage - .:Community MX:. & .:Adobe Community Expert:. There is definitely an issue here for some reason. I even built a new bubble and got similar results. However, I was able to fix things (not that you should have to) by first switching to PNG 32, setting my matte color to white, then going to PNG 8 and setting the palette to exact. With your sample, I ended up with 151 colors, which looked pretty good. I didn't (and you won't) get 256 colors because there are not 256 distinct shades of grey in the image. Hope this helps. -- Jim Babbage - .:Community MX:. & .:Adobe Community Expert:. From: Jim Babbage - .:CMX:. & .:Adobe Community Expert:. on 24 Mar 2007 23:59 On further experimentation, it seems this behavior occurs if no matte color is set. As soon as I set a matte color, I am able to switch to the exact palette. -- Jim Babbage - .:Community MX:. & .:Adobe Community Expert:. Can anyone confirm whether this has been improved in latest Fireworks CS3? PNG export seems to be ridiculously buggy in FireFox. |
