From: Mike Goodson on 24 Sep 2008 10:16 Hi, I wonder if someone can help - I have two problems and either needs resolving! A user has a PPT 2003 document with an org chart in there - this was created in PPT 97. She cannot edit it in PPT 2003 even after I install the msoc2.exe file (org chart 2.0). I then ripped off Office 2003 and put a vanilla build on without any SP then installed the org chart 2.0 but still could not edit the chart. I repeated this process after installing all three Office 2003 sp's. When I try the file on my PC running Office 2003 I can edit fine. So, I thought let me put PPT 2007 on - now when I try and edit the chart I get a "the org chart cannot be opened because it exceeds the maximum size". This is for a VERY demanding pa I need to resolve this. I even downloaded and installed a free tool called OrgPlus but that only lets you edit up to 30 boxes and the org chart needs more updating than that! HELP..... Thanks Mike

Hi Mike Have a read through this: Problems with Organization Chart (OrgChart) http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00023.htm If it was up to me I would be tempted to recreate from scratch in the 2003 format. Actually, I lie: I would create it from autoshapes & connectors, but that's just my control freaky way showing through ;-) Lucy -- Lucy Thomson PowerPoint MVP MOS Master Instructor www.aneasiertomorrow.com.au "Mike Goodson" <mikegoodson(a)economist.com> wrote in message news:uWvOeAlHJHA.1156(a)TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... > Hi, > > I wonder if someone can help - I have two problems and either needs > resolving! > > A user has a PPT 2003 document with an org chart in there - this was > created in PPT 97.
