From: Bolaleman on 18 Feb 2010 12:21 Overseas travel job opportunity for Electricians Job Title: Electrician - Overseas Location: MULTIPLE SITES WORLDWIDE Washington USA Salary Range: 29/hour- Contact: Joe Guastella Email: jguastella(a)ctsinternational.com Job Desc: Provide expert technical support for military equipment, power control systems and sub-systems such as medium/high-voltage, currently running 5KV. · Provide fault isolation, resolution, and integration for critical time sensitive solid state power control systems and associated components · Provide guidance to team members on proper electrical connection and grounding requirements · Ability to maintain transformer, cabling, switches, panel boards, substation equipment · Experience on diesel/mobile generator units Requirements: Required Skills:· Journeyman or Master Electrician certification· Must Currently Possess an Active Department of Defense Security Clearance.· Must Currently Possess an Active US Passport· Must have minimally 4 years of experience working on Medium Voltage industrial sites· Experience working overseas on a 24/7 project is highly desired.Required Skills: · High School Diploma or equivalent education with 6-8 years of experience and relevant formal electrical trade school training · Licensed as a Journeyman or Master Electrician · Bachelors Degree with 0-2 years of experience or 6-8 years of experience with no degree · Familiarity with provisions and applications of the National Electric Code and ability to select and install domestic and foreign materials and devices under the NEC · Knowledge of power generation equipment· Knowledge of EMC principles and how they apply to the installation and operation of mission and support systems · Command of fluent English including the ability to read, write, and comprehend technical documentation, schematics, and diagrams written under the ANSI standards This position is a multiple year contract broken down into two 6 month tours. You will be given 3 weeks off between the two assignments. Lodging and all transportation will be provided.
