I suppose you could just keep trying things (how's that working out anyway...), but I think would look for the happy endings in the results returned after a Google search for: X300XT BIOS P/N 113-A33437-102 Do any of those apply to your system?
From: albatross on 24 Dec 2009 09:35 No, I mean soft drive. It was sitting at the top of the boot list, and I don't have one, so I tried removing it from the list. -- albatross ------------------------------------------------------------------------ albatross's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/165078.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/windows-xp-support/1285708.htm http://forums.techarena.in

What is a soft drive? Who are you replying to? Please do yourself and the rest of us a favor by using a news reader instead of the problematic techarena.in interface. It is confusing when you reply to the wrong person (it looks like you are replying to yourself in this thread!) and furthermore delete all the relevant text. I am aware this is techarena's default, and it is awful. Posts should be like this one. Notice that the text of your post is above. This way it is easy for everyone to understand the context. For more info: http://www.gmayor.com/MSNews.htm The first two paragraphs ("/outnews") are optional. Just scroll down to: Start Outlook Express and from the opening page, select the wizard to ' Set up a Newsgroups account...' Don't use your real e-mail address! Also, this link will take you directly to this newsgroup: news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windowsxp.help_and_support Good luck.

you might have to temporarily remove the cmos battery for about 5 minutes . meanwhile ensure that the mobo has no other connections other than the main hard drive, kb and mouse. then install the cmos battery back in and see if your can auto configure your bios. with any luck the hard drive will be recognized and become bootable, that is if it is still bootable. -- db`...><)))> DatabaseBen, Retired Professional - Systems Analyst - Database Developer - Accountancy - Veteran of the Armed Forces - @Hotmail.com - nntp Postologist ~ "share the nirvana" - dbZen ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > > "albatross" <albatross.43p1j8(a)DoNotSpam.com> wrote in message news:albatross.43p1j8(a)DoNotSpam.com... > > Hi > I was having issues with a fatal error.
