From: Schreurs225 on 26 Mar 2010 02:04 I have a dell dimension 8400. I am interested in buying a new card that ONLY WORKS WITH A PCI-E 2.0 SLOT. Is the pci-e slot in my dell 8400 a 2.0 slot? If yes than respond with a "Yes!". Thanks.

The spec says: "Compatible with the PCI Express Base Specification Revision 1.0a." This is what I would expect, given that the 925X was one of the very first chipsets to support PCI Express. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PCI_Express#PCI_Express_1.0 Your card will work, just won't achieve the listed speed.
