Have just installed Window 7 and MS office and I cannot open PDF email
attachments there is a different symbol shown possibly windows media. When
forwarded attachment can be opened

File associations appear to be wrong.

Fix that in Windows. Reinstall Adobe Reader, which should take care of
it. Don't have a Win 7 machine handy to give you more detailed steps.

Windows 7 does not come with pdf reader, you have to download/install it from
adobe

PDF files require Adobe Reader which is not a part of Windows 7. It
would be best to download the necessary software.

Should you require additional assistance and guidance with Windows 7 in
the future, Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum
