Using lotus 2.12a here for what seem like forever. what I do is store
the data file on a flash drive and just plug it in what ever of 4
computers I am at. works like a charm

The easiest way is to keep the resident "file" on a memory stick.
Point the software on both computers to use the file located on the
stick. The backup feature will generate a copy of the main file on
both computers. I like Lotus organizer very much and wish they would
continue to improve the software.

That is pretty much what I do now, its just that having used Evernote fo
a while it does it automatically. I'm just getting lazy! I need to
remember to take a stick with me then I forget which is the up to date
version as I add data to Organiser at different times.
There are 4 files for each backup, one of which is .old so all 4 need to
be 'resident' file.

I'm on the back burner with this for a while as I'm trying to sort out
my new laptop.

I might as well stick with Organiser, I've had it for donkey's years and
it does more than Essential Pim free anyway. But it was worth a look.
