It's ok Bear. I've checked this out already. Out of 10
incoming calls approx 6 or 7 go straight to voicemail. Any
ideas on fixing this? Apart from this issue this softphone is
good. I don't think it's the codecs as I have used several
with Zoiper and it doesn't make a difference. I could not
find anything in any Zoiper support pages (does a Zoiper
forum exist by the way?). I've even reformatted the disk and
reloaded Windows but it doesn't help.

My view is Zoiper has an easy-to-use highly attractive GUI
but no modern built-in features like an MP4 player. Its
flashing desktop alarm is an important usability feature.
Although the menus are nicely colored there is only a limited
choice of skins. Bluetooth compatibility would be welcome. I
would like to see a fancier screen saver. I'm sad to see the
omission of an unattended P2P downloader which would be a
boon for those times users are too busy to launch uTorrent.

Hi Joachim. Thanks for the information. This is a comment
left on a forum I participate in, answering a post I made
asking some folks to try out your product. This is one
comment:

There should not be any issue in zoiper for incoming calls, i
will need some more information to investigate this problem,
but most likely it has something to do with a NAT timeout. It
could help to decrease the time between registrations
atlhough we already send some kind of nat keep alives.

A packetcapture would be the best for us to investigate, i
suspect zoiper never receives the invite for the incoming
calls in those cases. Other options that might have an impact
are the stun and rport settings, you might want to test with
enabling or disabling those.

What would you like the mp4 player for? To play recordings?

There actually is a skinning engine in there, you could make
your own skins. Try renaming the .zcs file to a .zip file and
changing the contents in the xml file. We will make this
easier to use in future versions.

We are working on supporting the buttons on bluetooth
headsets, the audio functionality should already work. (as
long as the headset is recognized as an audio device).

We will implement p2p file transfers, although it wont be the
bittorrent protocol for now.
