Yes, caveat emptor: didn't get to some of the small print warnings dotted around the place. You'll need to reapply the latest combo update afterwards, because the PPC bits will have been updated since the Leopard DVD was released. -- Chris

There are bound to be lots of other files that haven't been touched. Andrew is probably going to have to do a full system reinstall. Not hard - just boot from the DVD, install normally to your existing drive, then after it starts up, reapply all available updates. This will do the equivalent of an Archive & Install from previous system versions, so you may be left without third party software (e.g. drivers) which was installed in /System. Anything missing can be reinstalled as you discover it. -- David Empson dempson(a)actrix.gen.nz
