From: zhaowu on 4 Sep 2006 03:36 I have a Philips 27" TV (model number: 27PT643R37A, chassis number: L01.1UAC). It first chirped when powered on. I found the HOT (7460 - BU4508DX) shorted, but after I replaced it, the HOT got shorted immediately again after I turned on the TV. I've checked the three H-drive transistors (7462 - PDTC143ZT, 7461 - BC337-25, 7463 - BC327-25) and all the surrounding diodes, resistors and capacitors including 2455 - 47uF/25V. In fact, I also replaced 7461, 7463 and 2455, but the HOT still got shorted immediately. Could the culprit be the flyback transformer or the tube? The TV is only 3-years old. What can I do to pinpoint and fix the problem?
