I have a Phillips 27" TV made in 2003.
It's model 27PT643R37A
After having it about 2 years it developed a problem.
Every time I turn it on the Closed Captioning is on (CC1).
I turn it off and then the next time I turn it on the CC is back on
again.
Even if I leave it unplugged for 24 hours it still does this.
Anyone else have this problem or any ideas for stopping it.

Thanks,
Ed Hammond

Most Philips require you to select Store settings so that it remembers
your preferences even if turned off. Set volume, brightness, etc
correctly before as these settings will also be recorded.

I have a 20" Philips flat tube TV I bought about a year and a half ago
and it does the exact same thing. Never did it before, but all of a
sudden a month ago it started going to CC1 every time I turn it on
too. It's annoying to have to turn off every time. I have yet to find
a fix for it or a cause. Hopefully we'll find some answers.
