What philosophical questions are investigated at the moment? And what
experiments have been performed in the past to settle philosophical
debates?

Same as always. Today we just have more detailed evidence of
biological reactions, giving the appearence of new levels.

"Know thyself and know the universe" will always prevail, even though
we can now see both the inner and outer version.

Socrates had answeras back then, but 'back then' is a state of
consiousness, not a time line.

I also dont catagorise him as a philosopher, more a master.

Nyet, nein, zero, zilch,non (and in many other languageds past and
present :-).

Questions grow exponentially. Philosphy is about questions, not
answers. You have to 'change track' for answers.
